TypeTester!

Typetester is a website which allows you to test out different types in various styles. There are three columns in which you can choose various fonts, sizes, alignments etc in order to get a feeling for how certain fonts and styles interact with each other.

The strength of this website is in its simplicity. You don't have to search and around for the different options because they are all laid out in front of you. This makes it very easy to mix things up and get the style of type you want.

Color Scheme Designer!

Color scheme designer is a website which helps you to choose the best and most appropriate color schemes. It has a great amount of options for you to play around with to find what colors you want. If you see a color you like, all you have to do is run your mouse over the color and the color number will appear.

A great feature of this website is the ability to see what a color would look like in an actual website. All you have to do is click one button and it will show you. This makes the process of finding a color or complete color scheme very easy.

The main thing I like about the color scheme designer website is how easy it is to use. You don't feel like anything is overly complex and you feel like you are in control, which is something you want in a good website.

w3schools.com

w3schools.com is a website which is dedicated to teaching coding to people. It has been made easy to understand and so beginners don't get too scared. The website appears to have a very comprehensive amount of knowledge to do with all types of coding from HTML to Javascript.

What I like about this website is that you can type in the coding you want to practice and then view it as it would be on the internet. This is very useful for someone who hasn't done much coding. This website is a very good place to go if you are having any troubles coding.

Trademe

Trademe is one of the best websites I have ever used. It is easy to look at, easy to navigate through and overall, just easy to use. The search bar is extremely easy to use and depending on the topic you are searching, it also gives you help defining your search. However, if you don't really know what you want or are looking for, Trademe makes it easy to just look through endless pages of listed items. It is hard to find any faults with Trademe.

NZskier!

NZskier is New Zealands leading ski dedicated website. Like other ski websites such as 'freeskier', NZskier is the product of a magazine. However unlike the NZskier magazine which only has one release per year, the website has a lot more frequent content. Although this website isn't the most up to date skiing website it does offer a unique New Zealand flavor. There will be articles and videos from New Zealand skiers on various topics and from various locations.

The NZskier website is not the fastest, for example, it has to load twice when you first open the page. However, the highlight of the website is the industry twitter feed which has all the latest news and comments from high profile people in the ski industry. This is the first time I have seen something like this and I think it is one of NZskier's best features. There are also easy links to put you in the right direction for weather and avalanche information which is very useful. The Website also visually looks nice which makes the whole experience a lot more enjoyable.

Ron Oslund's Home Page!

I am not too sure what this website is actually about. When you enter the website, all you learn is that it is Ron Oslund's home page. When clicking on links to try and figure out what the site is about, you get sent onto other websites which appear to have no actual reason for being a link.
The site as a whole is extremely hard to look at. This is because there are way too many colours and typefaces being used. There is even text in black which is impossible to read. You get the feeling that this site is rather dodgy and so you don't want to click on anything. I will not be visiting this website again and I would not recommend it seeing as I don't know what it is for.

Newschoolers

Newschoolers is a freeskiing dedicated website. It is filled with news, videos, pictures, forums and even gear. I have not used this website as much as other freeskiing ones but it is probably the most popular feeskiing website at the moment. For this reason, other websites are becoming slack due to not being able to keep up with Newschoolers.
I tried to use newschoolers a couple of years ago but I didn't like it because it seemed quite chaotic. Although it still seems to be on the chaotic side of things, it's now a lot more user friendly. It is now easier to navigate threw and in general everything makes more sense. The most recent news is the first thing you see which is good, however this is the most chaotic part of the site. Lots of navigation bars makes it easy to find what you want and the search navigation bar is really helpful.
